Spanish Moss on Live Oak in Foggy Dawn Light

Soft gray mist rests on the sprawling branches of a massive live oak, heavy with cascading strands of Spanish moss that drape like pale curtains. The wind whips the delicate fibers, bending them into flowing arcs against the pale sky of nautical dawn. Below, a storm-bright plain stretches out in muted greens and browns, the early spring grass still dormant. The diffused light washes the scene in a cool, silver tone, yet the dense texture of the moss offers a visual anchor of cozy warmth. Droplets of moisture rest on the rough bark, catching the faint glow of the rising sun. One branch extends low, its mossy fringe resting just above the misty ground.
