Slow Loris Moonlit Night Monsoon Sudan in in Sudan

Slow Loris Moonlit Night Monsoon Sudan

by Brendan Horton

Cold moonlight washes over the dense canopy of a Sudanese forest during the monsoon season. A slow loris clings to a rough, moss-slicked branch, its fur appearing dark and dense against the pale silver glow. Dramatic, heavy clouds drift overhead, breaking the starlight into patches of dim illumination. The animal sits perfectly still, viewed from behind, its rounded ears and thick tail forming a compact silhouette. Raindrops glisten on the surrounding leaves, reflecting the harsh, cool light. The texture of the bark is deeply grooved and wet. one drop of water hangs from the tip of a leaf just inches from the creature's shoulder.
