Black Cat on Wind-Scoured Ridge at Golden Hour

Warm firelight washes the wet fur of a black cat perched on a narrow stone ledge. Rain-slicked slate reflects the amber glow of the setting sun, turning the damp ridge near Indore into a mirror of deep oranges and charcoals. Heavy monsoon clouds hang low, diffusing the light into a soft, humid haze that rests on the rough texture of the stones. The cat sits motionless, its sleek coat absorbing the fading heat, while water droplets bead along its spine and the jagged edges of the rock. Behind the animal, the blurred silhouette of distant trees sways slightly, their leaves darkened by the recent downpour. one drop of water rolls from the cat's ear, tracing a clear path down the rough stone surface before vanishing into the shadowed crevice below.
