Silhouetted Turbines Through Derelict Window

Honeyed evening light floods a broken window frame, casting the interior of a ruined hydro plant into deep shadow. Through the jagged opening, three massive turbine blades stand as stark black silhouettes against a sky heavy with dramatic, layered clouds. The turn of seasons shows in the muted browns of dried vegetation clinging to the concrete sill and the pale, peeling paint on the window ledge. Dust motes hang suspended in the golden beams cutting across the dark floor. The rough texture of decaying brick contrasts with the smooth, cold metal of the turbines outside. A final shard of glass reflects the fading orange glow on the sky.
