Rusted Sawmill Blade in Mashhad Turbine Hall
Heavy tungsten light falls through high windows, illuminating dust motes in the dim turbine hall near Mashhad. A massive circular saw blade, stripped of paint and covered in deep orange rust, dominates the foreground. The metal teeth are jagged and uneven, catching the weak glow against the dark interior. Behind the blade, the vast empty space of the hall stretches into shadow, revealing concrete pillars and exposed structural beams. Early summer overcast skies outside keep the light flat and gray, preventing harsh shadows. The floor is covered in a fine layer of sawdust and grime, marking years of disuse. A faint reflection of the blade appears on a wet patch of the concrete near the base.
