Heavy rain falls across the riverbank near Puerto Vallarta as a shepherd stands in sharp silhouette against a bruising orange and purple sky. The figure holds a staff while facing a small flock huddled tightly against the muddy edge of the water. Raindrops strike the dark surface in concentric rings that distort the fading light.
