Silhouetted Crane in North Carolina Reed Bed Mist

Honeyed evening light falls through thick mist along the edge of a North Carolina reed bed. A sandhill crane stands in sharp silhouette against the glowing horizon, its long neck extended and wings folded tight. The bird's alert posture suggests untamed tension as it scans the marsh. Tall reeds sway gently around its legs, their tips catching the warm light while the base remains dark and submerged. The background fades into a soft haze where the sky meets the water, showing depth. The crane's beak points forward, ready to strike, while its feathers blend into the dark foreground. One reed tip glows gold against the bird's black outline.
