Low-hanging clouds press down, creating a heavy ceiling of indigo that mirrors the earth below. The fluffy white bolls are no longer distinct; instead, the rows of cotton stand as a rhythmic, jagged line of black against the cool, fading daylight. clear ritual stillness hangs in the air, visible in the absolute lack of movement across the crops. The horizon line blurs where the dark vegetation meets the deepening twilight, showing the quiet weight of the cool season evening. One row of stalks catches the last faint reflection of the sky.
