Corn and Soybean Fields in Indigo Twilight in high above patterned rooftops near Puerto Vallarta

Corn and Soybean Fields in Indigo Twilight

by Tanner Harris

Indigo twilight blankets a checkerboard pattern of corn and soybean fields stretching toward the horizon. Rain streaks blur the view, creating vertical gray lines across the darkened crops. The agricultural plots form a geometric grid where rows of tall stalks stand in silhouette against the fading sky. Wet soil absorbs the last light, turning the field surfaces into matte black textures. Distant rooftops emerge as faint, irregular shapes beneath the agricultural expanse. The steady rain creates a shimmering, distorted surface on the leaves, catching the minimal ambient glow. Dark water droplets rest on the edges of the leaves, defining their jagged outlines against the deep blue background. One leaf edge catches a faint reflection of the sky.
