Sicilian Tidal Flat Ripples at Blue Hour

Cool blue twilight washes over an expansive tidal flat in Sicily, where wet sand reflects the heavy overcast sky. Distinct ripple patterns stretch across the mud in rhythmic, parallel lines, created by the receding tide. In the upper right corner, distant city lights begin to glow with warm yellow and orange points, contrasting sharply against the dominant cool tones of the landscape. The wet surface glistens with a matte sheen, showing the diffuse light without harsh shadows. The horizon line sits low, showing the vast, flat expanse of the intertidal zone. One dark bird stands near the water's edge, its silhouette small against the textured, rippled ground.
