Seaplane Landing Lake Sunset Backlit Silhouette

Golden hour light spills across the glassy surface of the lake near St. Louis, where a seaplane touches down in a perfect backlit silhouette. The aircraft appears as a stark black shape against the burning orange and violet sky, its pontoons skimming the water and sending up a fine spray of mist that catches the fading sun. Late autumn bare branches line the distant shore, their dark forms framing the horizon. The water ripples outward in expanding rings, distorting the reflection of the plane. A final wisp of vapor trails from the wing tip, dissolving into the cool evening air.
