Vivid crimson feathers of the tanager stand out against a backdrop of fading green canopy and distant town lights. The bird grips a rough, brown branch with sharp black claws, its small black head turned alertly to the side. Heat haze shimmers visibly in the air, distorting the green leaves slightly and softening the edges of the distant horizon where the town glow pulses. The sky holds a deep indigo hue, signaling the blue hour just after sunset. Fine details of the bird's beak and eye catch the last ambient light. The branch rests firmly under the weight of the small creature, anchoring the composition against the blurred, warm lights of Pavlodar in the background.
