Scarlet Cranberry Bogs at Sunset in Akure

Flooded cranberry bogs stretch across terraced basins, their surfaces turning a deep scarlet under the fading wet season light. Low ground fog pools in the depressions between the fields, hugging the dark earth where the water meets the banks. The setting sun casts a firelight warmth that reflects off the rippling liquid, creating a sheet of molten copper against the darkening sky. Silhouetted wooden floats and harvest equipment rest on the water, their sharp shapes standing out against the glowing horizon. Mist hangs from the low points, drifting across the surface as the light fades into shadow along the far edge of the bog.
