Ruined Soviet Block on Velvet Chair in Khemisset

Neon reflections from the city outside paint the interior walls in shifting bands of electric blue and magenta. Centered on a plush velvet chair sits a miniature model of a collapsed Soviet-era apartment block, its balconies crushed inward in a chaotic spiral of grey concrete. The early winter darkness presses against the window, against the artificial glow that highlights the rough texture of the model's fractured surfaces. Quiet shadows pool in the deep folds of the chair's fabric and along the corners of the room. The miniature structure rests firmly on the velvet, its jagged edges catching the neon light while the surrounding darkness remains still and heavy.
