Quartet Plays Under Monsoon Cathedral Window
Deep blue twilight falls through a massive rose window, washing the stone nave in cool, muted tones while rain streaks the stained glass. Four musicians in dark formal wear stand beneath the arch, their instruments catching the warm amber glow of brass wall sconces. The polished floor reflects their silhouettes and the soft light from the lamps. Water droplets rest on the exterior of the glass, distorting the vibrant reds and blues into soft, watery patches. Beside the lead violinist, a bow rests against the instrument neck, revealing the texture of the wood grain in the dim light.
