Purple Lupins on Fern Forest Floor Late Spring
Tall stalks of purple and pink lupins rise densely from a bed of dark green ferns. The forest floor beneath is textured with fallen pine needles and patches of damp earth. Late morning light falls through the canopy, casting sharp, distinct shadows across the petals. Low-hanging clouds obscure the distant horizon, leaving the upper frame open with soft, diffused white space. The stems show rough, fibrous textures, while the fern fronds curl slightly at the edges. A cluster of three flowers leans toward the left, their vibrant hues contrasting against the muted browns of the forest floor. The negative space above the blooms emphasizes their height against the gray sky.
