Flat noon light washes over a temporary pipe threading station anchored to a scaffolded facade in Bavaria. Rain slicks the metal rails and the coiled copper wire, turning the gray steel into a dark, wet mirror. Wooden planks of the scaffold show water stains and grain swelling from the late spring drizzle. Heavy steel dies and a threaded rod lie on a wet canvas tarp, their edges sharp against the damp fabric. The background reveals the traditional stepped gable of a nearby building, partially obscured by the scaffolding netting. Water droplets bead on the surface of a hydraulic hose, reflecting the pale sky. A rusted bolt on the machine frame catches the light, highlighting the grit of the work site.
