Steaming Brewery Floor Drain Copper Tanks

Broad noon light floods the industrial interior, striking the curved surfaces of massive copper tanks that line the upper walls. Below, a concrete floor drain sits on a metal scaffold platform, releasing thick white vapor into the still air. The damp concrete shows darkened patches where liquid has pooled, reflecting the harsh overhead skylight. Rust streaks run down the steel grating of the scaffold, against the polished metallic sheen of the brewing vessels. Steam rises in uneven columns, obscuring the lower edges of the tanks and drifting across the gray floor. A heavy steel pipe connects the drain to the wall, ending in a circular grate where the vapor escapes. at the edge is one drop of condensation clinging to the rim of the copper tank, catching the bright light before falling.
