Curled Metal Shavings on Wet Scaffold at Sunset

Thin, silver curls of metal debris scatter across the gray concrete of a scaffold platform. A sheen of water from recent rain coats the surface, reflecting the deep orange and violet light of the setting sun. The rough iron framework of the structure rises beside the scattered shavings, its edges sharp against the dimming sky. Early winter shadows stretch across the metallic debris, cutting through the wet concrete. Humid air hangs in the space above, visible as a soft haze clinging to the cold steel bolts. One copper-colored spiral rests against a wet fastener, its edge catching the final glow of the day.
