Mason Trowel and Wet Mortar on Scaffold

Green foliage filters bright afternoon sun into shifting patches of light and shadow across a wooden scaffold platform. A metal trowel rests in a mound of wet, grey mortar, its surface glistening with moisture from the wet season. Wind ripples the loose mortar, distorting the smooth curve of the tool's blade. In the background, the steel lattice of a tower crane rises against a pale sky, its structure forming strong converging lines that draw toward a distant vanishing point. The wood of the scaffold shows weathered grain and damp stains. A faint spray of water droplets hangs suspended near the mortar pile, caught in the sudden gust. The edge of the trowel reflects a sharp highlight from the sun breaking through the leaves.
