Drone View Construction Site Thies Wet Season
by Lynn Munoz
Soft overcast light flattens the color palette across a sprawling construction zone in Thies during the wet season. Steel scaffolding climbs a building facade, its gray poles intersecting with rusted beams and wet concrete surfaces that reflect the dull sky. Bright orange caution tape snaps taut along the edges, pulled by site wind, while heavy-duty tarps ripple under gusts, their plastic surfaces stretching tight before slackening again. Puddles gather in low spots, mirroring the muted tones of the machinery parked nearby. The grid of the scaffolding creates strong leading lines that guide toward the central crane structure, showing the vertical rise against the horizontal spread of the site. Dust mixes with mud on the ground, marking the path of recent movement. at the edge shows a metal bracket bolted to a wooden plank, bent slightly from the force of the wind.
