Heat Shimmer Over Brunei Marshland Thunderheads Sunset
Thick monsoon mist rests on the low marshland, obscuring the ground in a pale gray haze. Above, the horizon fractures under the weight of stacked thunderheads, their dark silhouettes sharp against the fading orange glow of the setting sun. Heat waves rise from the wet earth, distorting the air into a wavering veil that blurs the boundary between the swamp and the storm clouds. The sky dominates the frame, a heavy ceiling of charcoal and bruised purple hues. In the distance, the turbulent layers of the storm front loom low, their edges softened by the atmospheric density. at the edge is the way the light catches the ragged bottom edge of the nearest cloud, revealing a thin, glowing fringe of gold.
