Heavy steel pipes and industrial valves dominate the foreground, their dark metallic surfaces gleaming wetly under the sudden sweep of a lighthouse beam. The light cuts through the heavy overcast night, revealing the intricate network of flanges and gauges against the deep shadows of the interchange. Beyond the machinery, the concrete ramps of the overpass curve away toward a vanishing point, disappearing into the wind-swept darkness near Comodoro Rivadavia. Early winter air leaves the metal cold and unyielding, while the sweeping light highlights the engineered precision of the pumping station. The final beam catches one drop of condensation clinging to the edge of a large blue valve handle.
