Norway District Heating Pipe Corridor Night

Sodium-vapor orange glow illuminates a long steel pipe corridor running parallel to a snow-covered levee path. The massive industrial structure rises from the white ground, its riveted metal plates reflecting the harsh artificial light. Deep shadows pool beneath the elevated walkway, against the bright, shimmering air rising from the heated surfaces. Below the levee, dark floodwater stretches into the distance under a pitch-black sky. The brief arctic summer leaves the ground covered in a layer of snow despite the visible heat haze. Structural bolts and support beams create a rhythmic pattern along the length of the corridor. The heavy steel beams anchor the scene against the vast, empty night. One rivet head catches the light on the nearest support column.
