Soft, overcast light floods the damp concrete floor of a leaf-drying room in Antalya before sunrise. Towering stacks of raw jute fiber bales reach the rafters, their coarse, tan surfaces absorbing the cool moisture of the monsoon season. Rows of mesh trays line the walls, holding green leaves that glisten with condensation. A heavy vapor hangs low, blurring the distant machinery into a gray silhouette against the pale morning glow. The low angle emphasizes the mechanical severity of the stacked bales, which rest on the wet ground. At the base of the nearest stack, a single water droplet rests on the rough jute twine, marking the edge of the damp concrete floor.
