Cold moonlight washes over the geometric grid of a palm oil plantation near Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City, casting the fronds in shades of steel blue and charcoal. Low clouds drift in patches, allowing slivers of silver illumination to strike the dry, brown earth between the rows. The diagonal alignment of the trunks creates a sharp, rhythmic tension that pulls attention across the expansive landscape. Shadows stretch long and distinct, showing the uniform height of the palms against the darker, misty background. The texture of the dry ground contrasts with the smooth, waxy surfaces of the leaves. A faint break in the cloud cover reveals a brighter patch of sky directly above the central row.
