Winter Twilight Allotment Plots Mandalay Hills

Steel-blue ambient light washes over terraced hillsides near Mandalay, casting long, rhythmic shadows across a grid of allotment plots. The rainy season leaves the earth dark and saturated, while heat shimmer rises in wavering lines from the soil, distorting the lower edges of the terraces. Geometric rows of crops stretch diagonally from the lower left toward the upper right, creating a visual rhythm that dominates the frame. Each plot is separated by narrow ridges of wet earth, reflecting the fading sky. The perspective looks down from far above, showing the expansive topography of the layered fields. At the bottom edge, a shadow from a nearby ridge cuts sharply across the first plot, anchoring the composition in the cool twilight.
