Masonry Saw Station Under Crane in Foggy Late Summer

A heavy-duty masonry saw station sits on cracked concrete beneath the towering steel lattice of a construction crane. Flat noon light falls through overhead leaves, casting dappled shadows across the rusted metal and chipped surfaces. Ground fog pools in the low depressions of the open ground near Sendai, creeping around the machine's base. The surrounding area features a corridor where identical doors line both walls, a spatial impossibility that defies the expected open site layout. Late summer foliage frames the upper edges, while the saw's blade guard gleams with a dull, wet sheen. Dust motes hang suspended in the beams of light, settling on the workbench where a chalk mark indicates the next cut.
