Silhouetted Masonry Saw at Winter San Diego Worksite

Mud and water coat the asphalt of a San Diego access road as evening blue light flattens the landscape into deep silhouette. A heavy masonry saw table dominates the foreground, its metal surface slick with wet brick dust and scattered with jagged red cutoffs. Low ground fog pools around the machine's base, obscuring the muddy tire tracks and blending the equipment into the damp earth. The winter air hangs still, visible only in the way the fog hugs the low ground and the cold sheen on the wet concrete. A final sliver of daylight catches the rough edge of a brick fragment resting on the saw's wet table. (99 words)
