Rebar Bender on Samawah Construction Deck at Golden Hour

Slanting afternoon sun bathes a heavy steel rebar bender table resting on the uneven surface of an active construction deck near Samawah. The late golden hour light casts long, sharp shadows across the metal grating, highlighting the dust of concrete and sawdust suspended in the air. Early autumn air holds a dry haze that softens the distant horizon while keeping the foreground details crisp. Coils of steel rebar lie ready beside the bender, their cold gray surfaces catching the warm glow of the setting sun. Damp earth stains the edges of the deck where workers have moved earlier in the day. A faint trail of dust settles on the hydraulic levers, marking the pause in urgent labor before nightfall. at the edge rests on the rusted edge of the table where one drop of oil glistens in the fading light.
