Mackerel Sky Sunset Over Kenya Harbor Thunderheads

Firelight warmth floods the western sky where rows of mackerel clouds stretch horizontally across the horizon. Stacked thunderheads rise in dark, heavy layers behind the harbor, their bases tinged with deep violet while their peaks catch the last intense orange glow of sunset. A thin layer of sea haze softens the distant water line, blurring the boundary between the calm harbor and the wild, untamed sky above. The cool season air is evident in the crisp definition of the cloud edges against the fading blue. Small boats rest motionless in the foreground, their silhouettes sharp against the shimmering, hazy water. at the edge is the faint reflection of the orange cloud row rippling on the wet dock surface.
