Copper-toned light washes over a glass-enclosed lantern room housing a massive Fresnel lens, its prismatic rings catching the fading daylight. The structure sits within a paved temple courtyard in Rufisque, where fine rain creates a shimmering sheen on the stone floor. Warm firelight glows from within the lantern, against the cool, grey drizzle falling outside. Layers of architectural depth recede into the background, showing rough-hewn walls and open archways typical of the region. The air appears heavy with salt, visible in the way the rain beads on the glass panes. one drop of water slides down the curved prism, refracting the firelight into a streak of amber that falls across the wet stone below.
