Clear mountain light falls through thin fog to cast a dark silhouette of a langur monkey mid-leap. The primate stretches between leafy branches above a calm tidal inlet near Chongqing. Late afternoon sun backlights the animal, turning its fur into a sharp black outline against the pale sky. Wet water reflects the muted gray of the mist. Sparse autumn leaves rest on the trees, signaling the turn of seasons. The monkey's limbs extend fully, capturing a moment of alert tension. Below, the water surface remains still, mirroring the dark shapes of the distant treeline and the suspended body above. The edge of a branch cuts sharply across the lower right corner.
