Soft, diffused afternoon light washes over the wet harbor mouth near Kaka'ako, Honolulu, where a pale moon hangs low in a perfectly clear sky. Thick fog rests on the water's surface, obscuring the distant horizon while revealing the dark silhouettes of moored sailboats. Their masts stand tall against the pale backdrop, reflected in the slick, glassy water that glistens from recent rain. The harbor edge is lined with weathered pilings and calm waves lapping gently against the concrete. Every surface gleams with moisture, from the white hulls of the boats to the damp pavement in the foreground. One mast tip pierces the fog layer, marking the boundary between the heavy air and the open sky above.
