Silhouetted Junk Boat in Hong Kong Monsoon Rain

Orange firelight from the setting sun paints the horizon behind a traditional junk boat, rendering its wooden hull and bamboo rigging as a solid black shape. Heavy grey monsoon clouds press low over the harbor mouth near Aberdeen, while vertical rain streaks cut through the warm glow. Dark water fills the foreground, its surface broken by the impact of falling raindrops that ripple outward from the boat's hull. Mist hangs low along the distant shoreline, softening the outlines of the city skyline. The curved stern of the vessel rises sharply against the bright sky, while scattered reflections of the rigging shimmer on the wet surface at the edge of the frame.
