Kakapo Parrot on Mossy Log Night Monsoon Queensland
Starlight falls through dense canopy leaves, illuminating a heavy kakapo parrot perched on a thick, rotting log draped in vibrant green moss. The bird's mottled brown and yellow feathers blend with the damp wood, while its large dark eyes reflect the faint ground glow rising from the wet tidal inlet nearby. Humid air hangs heavy, making the moss appear slick and the log surface glisten with recent rain. A fallen branch frames the left side of the view, creating a natural window that isolates the solitary bird against the dark water. The kakapo stands rigid, its body tense and alert, head turned sharply toward the shadows. Droplets of water rest on the rough bark texture near the bird's talons, showing the wet, cool environment of the Queensland monsoon night. at the edge is one drop of water falling from a leaf tip onto the moss below.
