Jaguar Crossing Wind-Scoured Marsh Ridge

Hard coastal glare illuminates a jaguar moving across a salt marsh ridge near Edirne in early spring. The animal strides forward with a low, predatory gait, its spotted coat rippling under the wind that whips the dry, pale grasses into blurred streaks. Behind the jaguar, a trail of deep impressions marks the soft, saline ground, showing the weight of its passage. The midmorning sun casts sharp, short shadows beneath the paws, highlighting the tension in the hind legs. The wind distorts the texture of the marsh grass, showing constant motion around the still, focused body of the cat. One track fills with a small puddle of brackish water at the edge of the frame.
