Iceberg Calving Into Sea At Tibet Shore in along a wave-cut shoreline in Tibet

Iceberg Calving Into Sea At Tibet Shore

by Daisy Conrad

Steel-blue ambient light fills the air as a massive wall of glacial ice fractures along a wave-cut shoreline in Tibet. Snow falls in fine, white flakes that drift across the surface of the dark water where the iceberg has just separated. The ice face reveals layers of compressed white and deep blue, its jagged edge crumbling into the churning sea. In the background, faint city lights begin to glow against the horizon, marking the transition of the midnight sun into evening. The wind-sculpted surface of the ice shows deep grooves and rough textures, standing stark against the soft, falling snow. One shard of ice floats near the base, reflecting the dim light. The water ripples outward from the impact point, disturbing the glassy surface.
