Green Water Aqueduct Over Thistles in Mist

Thick mist hangs low over the arid landscape, softening the edges of a massive concrete aqueduct that spans the frame. Green water flows steadily through the open channel, reflecting the pale late afternoon sky above. Below, a dense carpet of purple thistles grows wild against the dry earth, their spiky silhouettes blurred slightly by the heavy atmospheric haze. The levee path runs parallel to the structure, disappearing into the white fog. Sunlight breaks through the mist in faint, diffused beams, illuminating the rough texture of the concrete and the wet sheen on the water's surface. A thin layer of moisture rests on the lower concrete supports, darkening the gray stone.
