Golden Jellyfish Swarm in Waikiki Marine Lake

Silvery winter light falls through the predawn darkness, illuminating a dense swarm of golden jellyfish pulsing rhythmically in the marine lake near Waikiki. The water holds a thick plankton haze that softens the distant shoreline, creating a milky gradient from deep indigo to pale gray. Thousands of translucent, amber-colored medusas drift in tight clusters, their bells contracting in unison against the stillness. The surface ripples faintly, reflecting the cool, muted tones of the monsoon sky. Individual tentacles trail behind the pulsing bodies, blurring slightly with movement, while the water's density gives the scene a heavy, suspended quality. One jellyfish bell near the foreground catches a shaft of dim light, revealing its delicate, striated texture against the dark water.
