Deep shadow engulfs the asphalt track where a Formula One car negotiates a sharp switchback near St Johns. Late winter light slices across the wet surface, creating a bright rim along the vehicle's rear wing and sidepods. Sea spray hangs in the air, turning the dark tarmac into a glossy mirror that reflects the car's low profile. Water beads form on the slick carbon fiber bodywork, while the tires bite into the soaked road. Converging lines of the barrier and track edge pull toward the vanishing point ahead. A droplet of water rests on the front wing tip, catching the faintest glimmer of fading daylight.
