Falconer Gaze with Golden Eagle in Dawn Rain

Pale silver light from a monsoon dawn washes over the weathered face of a master falconer standing near Gómez Palacio. Raindrops hang suspended in the air, catching the dim glow as a brief sun shower passes overhead. The man's intense eyes lock forward, framed by the coarse, dark feathers of a golden eagle perched on his armored forearm. Water beads along the leather gauntlet and drips from the bird's talons onto the wet, muddy ground. The background blurs into a wash of green vegetation and gray sky, keeping the focus tight on the human and bird at the edge of the view. One droplet slides down the eagle's beak, catching the light.
