Soft, diffused light from an overcast sky washes over a vast expanse of emerald green rice paddies near Okene. The water-filled fields form a geometric mosaic of varying shades, bounded by raised earth banks that create sharp, diagonal lines across the frame. Humid air hangs low, blurring the distant edges where the paddies meet a grid of greenhouse structures in the background. The wet surfaces reflect the gray sky, creating a smooth, glass-like texture that contrasts with the rougher, muddy ridges. Each rectangular plot holds a distinct depth of color, ranging from bright lime to deep forest green. The diagonal arrangement of the water channels pulls attention from the bottom left corner sharply toward the upper right, where the greenhouse grid begins to fade into the haze.
