Dawn Mist Over Brunei Salt Basin

Soft gray light falls through a heavy summer cloud cover, settling over the shallow, rectangular salt pans of a Brunei basin. The water surfaces mirror the pale sky, broken only by the white crusts forming along the edges. Distant mountain peaks fade into the humid haze, their outlines softened by the morning mist. The ground appears damp and textured with dried salt deposits, reflecting the diffused dawn glow. A stillness hangs over the wet earth, where the turn of seasons leaves the air thick with recent rain. Pools of water catch the faint light, creating small, mirror-like patches against the rough, crystalline salt crusts lining the basin walls. The horizon blurs where the water meets the fading silhouette of the mountains.
