Concrete Mixer Pouring on Townsville Causeway

Golden hour light reflects off the surrounding water, casting a warm glow on the white drum of a concrete mixer truck parked on a wide concrete causeway. The vehicle's chute extends downward, releasing a thick stream of grey slurry into a rectangular form lined with a grid of rusted steel rebar. Dry, brown leaves skitter across the wet pavement in the foreground, caught by a sudden gust of wind. The causeway stretches into the distance, creating strong leading lines that guide the view toward the horizon where the sky meets the water. The metal surfaces of the truck and rebar show signs of use, against the smooth, flowing concrete and the scattered debris on the ground. A final detail is the way the grey wet concrete begins to coat the lower edges of the steel bars.
