Rain streaks across the dark, wet drum of a cement mixer parked on a steel construction deck. Deep shadows swallow the lower chassis while a sharp rim of pale winter light outlines the rotating blades and the curved metal shell. Early morning mist rests on the cold steel grating, reflecting the grey sky above. Puddles form in the depressions of the deck, catching the brief, diffuse glow of a sun shower. The truck's heavy tires rest on the damp metal, showing scuff marks and dried mud from previous work. Frost dusts the edges of the safety rails nearby. One raindrop slides down the side of the mixer, tracing a path through the grime on the paint.
