Commuters Descending Rainy Staircase in Aleppo

Golden light spills across wet stone steps as figures move downward toward a subway entrance in Aleppo. Late spring rain coats the pavement, turning the ground into a dark mirror that reflects the warm sky. Steam rises visibly from metal grates along the stairwell walls, curling into the cooling air. The commuters wear heavy coats and hold umbrellas, their forms slightly blurred by the movement. Dust and moisture rest on the rough masonry of the surrounding buildings, which show signs of age and wear. The scene ends with a close-up of a wet leather shoe stepping onto a slick, reflective riser.
