Cog Railway Emerges From Tunnel On Ridge

Bright midmorning sunlight floods a high mountain ridge in Himachal Pradesh, illuminating a steel cog railway as it bursts from a dark stone tunnel mouth. The train tracks curve sharply along the precipice, their heavy iron rails against the dry, golden grasses of early winter. Snow dusts the distant peaks under a perfectly clear, deep blue sky. The tunnel entrance is framed by rough, weathered rock and sparse alpine vegetation. A solitary train car sits motionless on the tracks, its metallic surface reflecting the harsh daylight. The landscape stretches out in a wide panoramic sweep, showing layers of rugged terrain fading into the horizon. One shadow falls across the gravel ballast beneath the wheels.
