Thick white mist rests on the switchback approach in Georgia as the cog railway track cuts a dark, jagged line up the ridge. The train emerges from a stone tunnel mouth, its entire form reduced to a stark black silhouette against the warm, glowing sky of the golden hour. Low-angle perspective emphasizes the steep incline of the rails and the heavy metal gears that grip the center rail. Pale autumn leaves dot the rocky embankment, catching faint edges of orange light while the rest of the slope remains shrouded in cool gray vapor. The locomotive headlight pierces the fog, a small bright star that anchors the heavy iron structure. One gear tooth rests against the misty air, defining the mechanical heart of the ascent.
