Rich amber sunset light floods the rough-hewn stone steps of an Aguascalientes concert hall, illuminating a choir bundled in heavy winter coats. The humid air of the rainy season rests on the textured masonry and the woolen fabric of their garments. Figures cluster near the edge of the frame, their breath visible in the cooling copper-toned light as they stretch and prepare. Moisture beads on the dark stone surfaces, reflecting the warm glow. The group stands shoulder to shoulder, their collective posture suggesting shared focus. A shadow stretches across the bottom step, anchoring the figures to the cool, damp ground.
